Before there was social media, there were two ways of communicating with friends one wasn’t seeing regularly: telephone and mail. I have made Christmas cards irregularly from 1991 through 2019, both as a seasonal creative outlet and in an effort to stay in touch with distant family and friends. Cheeky and elegant at once, the cards eventually evolved into a full-blown art practice.
